What is WBTB for Lucid Dreaming?

WBTB - what is it?

WBTB, or Wake Back To Bed, is a common and relatively simple technique for inducing lucid dreams. WBTB is probably the most widely used lucid dreaming technique among both beginners and experts. Personally, I think this is the easiest way to learn how to have lucid dreams and it can be dramatically enhanced by taking a lucid dream supplement, as well. Let's look at how to do it.

How to use WBTB for lucid dreaming

1. Before going to bed, set an alarm to wake yourself up after 4-5 hours of sleep, then go to sleep

2. Upon waking up after 4-5 hours of sleep, get out of bed and do something that requires mental effort, such as reading or writing in a journal. I typically like to stay awake for 15-20 minutes, although some people get better results by staying awake for as much as an hour.

3. Lay down in your bed and begin to relax. As you fall back asleep, visualize something that you would like to dream about. You often will not be sure when, exactly, you cross from being awake to being asleep but if you are visualizing something you want to dream about, the transition can be made consciously and while maintaining the ability to control your dream

Why I like WBTB for lucid dreaming

WBTB is one of the easiest ways to begin lucid dreaming and it takes very little practice to do it. I personally have had lucid dreams that last for well over an hour by using this method. What really makes it amazing is when you couple it with a lucid dream supplement that boosts ACh, such as Hyperzine-A and also a choline supplement. These help you remember your dreams when you wake up.

Combining Dream Leaf with WBTB

Dream Leaf and WBTB are a great match because this  lucid dreaming supplement is designed to boost your brain's serotonin levels during the first half of the night (which can help to lengthen out your deep sleep cycles) and then can increase your ACh levels during the second half of the night (after you do WBTB) making it easy to exercise control over your dreams.
